Georgia tax sale dates
Every Georgia county sells on the same day: the first Tuesday of the month, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the courthouse. Here are the next three sale days, each with a page showing which counties have posted a list.
- November 3, 2026 Tuesday
- December 1, 2026 Tuesday
- January 5, 2027 Tuesday
Georgia sheriff's sales, and the tax sales conducted the same way, are held on the first Tuesday of the month between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the county courthouse or the place the county designates (O.C.G.A. § 9-13-161). When that Tuesday is January 1 or July 4, the sale is held the next day. A county holds a sale only if it has advertised parcels for it, once a week for the four weeks before (§ 9-13-140 and following).

How to read a sale day
A sale day is statewide, but each county runs its own auction, with its own list, terms and location on the courthouse grounds. About four weeks before the date, counties begin advertising the parcels they intend to sell; the lists then shrink as owners pay. Georgia Signals reads each county's own published list every morning and posts it on the county's page. For how the auction works and what the buyer gets, read how Georgia tax sales work.
