Help center · Counties and lists
Where the county lists come from and how fresh they are
We read each county's own published tax sale list every morning and show the date we last checked it.
Every list on Georgia Signals comes from the county's own published tax sale list, posted by the tax commissioner or, in some counties, the sheriff's office. We do not buy data, and we do not type rows in by hand.
How the collection works
- Every morning we fetch each enrolled county's list from the county's own site.
- New properties are added; properties the county drops off its list are marked removed, so the page matches what the county shows.
- Each county page names its source and links to it, and shows the date we last read it ("last checked").
- Some counties post a scanned PDF. We read those too, so a row can occasionally carry a reading error. If something looks off, compare it with the county's file and tell us.
What can still differ
Counties update their own lists on their own schedule, and a property can be paid off or withdrawn after we read the list. The county's list and the county's office always win. Confirm before you bid.
Found a mistake? Send the county and the parcel number through the contact form and we will check it against the county's file.
Quick answers
- How often are the lists updated?
- We re-check every enrolled county's list every morning. Each page shows the date of the last check.
- Why is a property on your list but not the county's?
- The county may have changed its list since our last morning check. The county's own list is the official one.
